As part of my engagement with activists and artists working on gender violence and impunity in India, I collaborated with performers Rosemary Kikon and Lapdiang Syiem to work on a theatre piece titled–Requiem for Dead Sisters. I am interested to explore how narratives and ethnographic methods can become tools to engage with lives on the ground beyond academia. For the performance at the Darpana Academy of Performing Arts in Ahmedabad, Babina Chabungbam and Rulee Phukan joined the team.
